Meet Dr. Allison Williams, whose personal journey into orthodontics began in the vibrant community of Carmel, Indiana. It was here that her own orthodontist worked wonders with braces, not just enhancing her smile, but changing her life. This profound experience ignited a passion in Dr. Williams — a resolve to create that same positive change in the lives of her patients.

Education & Experience
Dr. Allison Williams' adventure in academia began at Indiana University, a place where her fascination with biology and business not only took root but thrived. She graduated with honors in 2014 and, amidst her scholarly triumphs, she met her husband, Matt, while leading Young Life.
From there, Dr. Williams dove headfirst into the dental realm at Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, where she didn't just study teeth — she graduated first in her class in 2018 with a Doctor in Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, all with a sparkle!
Next, Dr. Williams went on to accept a coveted spot in the elite Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry Graduate Orthodontic Residency Program. Imagine her, white coat and all, mastering the art of orthodontics, earning a Master’s in Dental Science and a certification in Orthodontics, all while trailblazing research in 3D printing.
Through this program, Dr. Williams also gained extensive experience with interdisciplinary cases and served on the craniofacial team during her time as a resident, adding layers of depth to her expertise.
And guess what? You can even leaf through her scholarly work in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, where you’ll find her research on 3D printing and orthodontics.

Dr. Williams went through an extensive and demanding journey to achieve board certification, dedicating numerous extra hours to demonstrate her capability in delivering top-tier patient care.
Her efforts were rewarded when she attained the prestigious title of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an accolade granted to a mere 40% of orthodontists in active practice.

Outside of the Office
Dr. Williams cherishes her moments with her husband, Matt, and their little whirlwind, Ellie. Together they enjoy trekking the trails with their energetic Australian shepherds, Mowgli and Blue, practicing hot yoga, and whipping up culinary creations in the kitchen. Their home is filled with warmth and adventure.
Their church home is at Redeemer Community Church in Johnson City, where bonds formed have blossomed into cherished friendships. Young Life has been a huge part of their relationship, and they continue to invest their energy as key figures on the Young Life Committee.
Matt's role at East Tennessee State University, guiding future leaders in the Roan Scholars Leadership Program, intertwines with their collective excitement for their East Tennessee life — a place where the majesty of the mountains makes up the daily backdrop.
