We'll take photos, X-rays, and goop-free digital scans, then you'll sit down with a doctor to talk through your options. You'll hear the cost, what to expect, and the pros and cons of each treatment before you decide anything.

Most families can get in the same week they call.

Yes. We offer no-interest payment plans with automatic monthly payments, and we accept all major credit cards.

When should my child first see an orthodontist?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first orthodontic checkup by age 7.
Most kids won't need treatment that early. The visit lets us catch bite and jaw problems while they're still easy to guide, so you know what's coming instead of guessing.

Dr. Anne Miller Harper
Dr. Anne Miller Harper, a dedicated orthodontist at Sturgill Orthodontics, hails from Kingstree, South Carolina. Her upbringing in a close-knit community shaped her caring and community-oriented approach.
She graduated summa cum laude from Clemson University, followed by a top-of-her-class performance at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she discovered her passion for orthodontics.
Alongside her husband, Walt, Dr. Harper enjoys kayaking, playing yard games, and engaging in community service, bringing professional excellence and personal warmth to her practice in Johnson City.
Dr. L. Sean Mullins
Dr. L. Sean Mullins has cared for Bristol smiles since 1995, when he moved to Bristol, TN after finishing his orthodontic residency. Many local families still know this office as Mullins Orthodontics, and he's still part of our team.
He decided at 14 that he wanted to be an orthodontist, after going through treatment himself. He earned his undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech, then his dental degree and orthodontic residency at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University.
His favorite moment is still the day the braces come off and a patient sees their finished smile for the first time. Away from the office, you'll usually find him hunting, fishing, or wakesurfing on South Holston Lake.
