About InBrace

Lingual braces like InBrace are a great cosmetic alternative to traditional metal braces for straightening your smile. Instead of fixing the brackets to the front of your teeth, Dr. Sturgill, Dr. Williams, or Dr. Harper place them on the backs of your teeth.

Lingual Braces in Johnson City, Bristol, & Norton

Sturgill Orthodontics is one of the few practices around to offer lingual braces, which are the least visible of all the orthodontic treatments. These brackets are placed on the back of the teeth on the tongue side so they can’t be seen at all when you smile.

We completely customize InBrace to your mouth and they’re a great choice for older teens and adults. To create your lingual braces, Dr. Sturgill, Dr. Williams, or Dr. Harper will take some digital impressions of your teeth and then send these to a dental laboratory.

The lab uses your impressions to create your InBrace customized wires. This process takes about six weeks and allows Dr. Sturgill, Dr. Williams, and Dr. Harper to cement the braces onto the backs of your teeth in ways specific to your unique needs.

Find Out if INbrace Is Right for Your Smile

InBrace lingual braces work in the same way as traditional braces. They apply gentle, continuous pressure to your teeth to slowly shift them into their new, straighter positions.

Your treatment can take anywhere from 6-30 months, depending on the severity of your smile issue.
