Metal Braces

These are the most common type of braces because they work really well and they can fix a wide array of orthodontic issues. Made of high-grade stainless steel, they utilize brackets and wires to straighten teeth. They’ve become increasingly smaller, more comfortable and more attractive.

Clear Braces

Clear braces, or ceramic braces to be precise, are made of a translucent material so they’re much less noticeable. This type is frequently used by adult patients because of their cosmetic appeal. The drawback to ceramic brackets is they’re more fragile. Additionally, the elastic ties can discolor between visits.

Invisalign

Invisalign is a teeth-straightening system that utilizes a series of clear, customizable aligners that fit into your mouth much like a mouthguard. They’re made from a smooth, flexible, BPA-free plastic material and since there’s no metal, wires or brackets, the system is supremely comfortable.
